- To encourage and promote thoroughbred ownership throughout the Philippines and to champion brotherhood and camaraderie among thoroughbred owners
To encourage, promote advance and ensure co-operative efforts in all matters pertaining to the production and improvement of the thoroughbred horse and to the interests of the thoroughbred horse owner and breeder To advocate the goals, objectives and interest of the association in cooperation and collaboration with, but not limited to, the Philippines Racing Commission, the National Stud Farm, the racing club, the jockeys association, the trainers association, and other horse owner association. To subscribe to become a member and co-operate with any other association (local or international, whether incorporated or not, whose objects are altogether or any part similar to those of this association and to procure from and communicate to such association such information as may be likely forward the objectives by this association. (i) To collaborate with the national Stud farm or its equivalent in the preparation, publication and circulation of the National Stud Book and all supplements thereto and all matters incidental thereto (ii) To prepare, publish and circulate the National Stud Book and all supplements thereto and all matters incidental thereto if, at any future time. National Stud Farm or its equivalent should decide not to prepare, publish and circulate the Book and Supplements. To receive, effect or reject application for registration or transfers of thoroughbred horses of all ages and both sexes, and where necessary to collaborate with the national Stud Farm or its equivalent in connection therewith if and/or when empowered to effect same.\ (i) To encourage and promote the development of Equine Veterinary Research and Treatment Centers throughout the Philippines. (ii) To open, establish, and maintain laboratories and/or research centers with such equipment and facilities as may be necessary, for the improvement, upgrading, care, breeding and raising of thoroughbred horses and to undertake or conduct all kinds of research, studies, experiments, tests, blood typing and treatments of thoroughbred horses throughout the Philippines. To own, import, export, buy, sell, alienate, lease or otherwise dispose of or acquire thoroughbred horses as may be required for breeding and/or for racing purposes, provided, it is in accordance with existing laws, rules and regulations. To encourage, hold and promote public auction sales of thoroughbred horses throughout the Philippines. To encourage, promote and sponsor horse racing and to give adequate prizes for the same in coordination with the authorized government agencies and racing clubs concerned. To purchase, acquire, sell, lease, exchange, mortgage or encumber any land, buildings, or premises, and any personal property, chattels or equipment of any kind or rights or privileges as are reasonable for the purpose of incidental thereof which shall necessary or expedient for the purpose of attaining the objectives of the association, or any of the objects or for promoting the interests of the association or its members To investigate and report upon cases of doubtful pedigree of the thoroughbred with power to publish such reports and to take such other steps as the association may think fit. To accept gifts and donations for the benefit and the object of the association whether effected by any trust or not. To make any rules and regulations for the efficient attainment of any of the objectives of the association and for its general management and control To aid and protect in any lawful way the interest of members (and of other employers in the industry) in relation to conditions of employment in the industry To borrow money or incur indebtedness, buy and sell stocks in any other corporations and engage in such commercial transactions as are connected with or incidental to its purpose. To organize, conduct and carry on any activity whatsoever or incidental to the purposes of the association and generally to do such other things and transact all business as may be directly or indirectly conductive to the attainment of the objectives and purposes of the association. |
